*Travel Fee: Potential travel fees may be applied if the trainer is traveling over 20km one way to your location. This will be addressed during the Discovery Call.

*Cancellation Policy: We are very flexible with our scheduling, but do require 48 hours to make changes to a booking, or a $25 cancellation fee will be applied.

Walking Programs
Allow Ally, our Lead Canine Coach, to take your dog out for a stroll and focus on the training goals that mean the most to you. Every plan is specific to your dog and will be customizable depending on your current behavior concerns or training goals!

If you are not a current training client with Dunn Dogs, a $25 in-person initial consult will take place prior to starting any walks.

Parallel Walks
Our Canine Coach is with you every step of the way with Parallel Walks! Do you feel lost trying to control your dog on leash? Does if feel like you'll never have a peaceful walk around the neighbourhood? Learn leash walking skills, boost your confidence, and manage your dog successfully while Ally takes you out on a walk that focusses on YOU - the human end of the leash!

How do I prepare for my dog training session or class?
Be prepared for your sessions with the following:​

Flat buckle collar, martingale collar, and/or harness

Small, pea sized training treats AND kibbles

Having BOTH yummy, high value treats and regular kibble allows us the versatility to reward HIGHLY for new or more difficult behaviors, but still provide a kibble as regular reinforcement when the dog offers good behaviors​

Yummy Treats: your dogs FAV treats, broken up beef liver/lung, cut up cheese string or hot dogs, Rollover, cooked and shredded chicken, etc.

Treat pouch or easy-to-access pocket

6-10 ft leash

Bring water, a water dish, and a dog bed/blanket if you are attending an outdoor session or class

Wear comfortable clothing and prepare for adverse weather! We only cancel sessions in EXTREME weather.

How do I find out the cost of your services?
We provide a general price guideline under our listed services and the final invoice will be discussed and emailed to you after the Discover Call. If you purchase multiple sessions in a package, we offer an awesome discount and 6-months of Follow-Up Care so you can continue practicing at home with our support and see the most progress. Talk about value!

I just need help with leash walking - can you help me?
Our Parallel Walking or Train & Walk Programs are likely a good fit for you! Both services focus on building a foundation of important life skills to improve your dogs walking skills. These Walking Programs are also an awesome way to enhance a Training Program, with additional time with a trainer and extra support for the humans. Send me a message if you still have questions!

Do you work with reactive or aggressive dogs?
Yes. I have a lot of experience working with dogs who are over-aroused, over-stimulated, fearful, and reactive. However, this will be determined on a case-by-case basis. After an initial session, we will determine if I am the best trainer for you and if you will see the most progress under one of my programs. However, I know other educated and experienced trainers in the area that I may refer you to. All ethical trainers should know when to refer out clients because we want to do what is best for you and your dog!

What training methods do you use?
We proudly prioritize Positive Reinforcement based training methods! This means that we tackle the root cause of the behaviours you are struggling with rather that solely focusing on compliance and obedience from our furry friends. It all starts with a positive, trusting relationship with healthy boundaries and clear instruction.
