About Ally & Valen

Dunn Dogs is owned and operated by Ally, a professional dog trainer in Chilliwack, BC. Ally moved here from Manitoba after completing her BSc and is furthering her education as a positive-reinforcement trainer. While studying for her degree, she accepted a position as a dog trainer apprentice in Winnipeg after many years working in the animal care and veterinary industry. The apprenticeship changed her life and introduced her to many dedicated trainers. As Ally closes in on nearly a decade of experience, she hopes to provide a safe, accepting learning environment where no individual is judged or ridiculed for their lifestyle or past dog training choices.

Ally has an extensive history of working with fearful dogs, as well as young, excitable, "stubborn", and unmotivated dogs. She is passionate about building strong relationships for canines and their owners with effective, ethical training methods.

Ally now lives in the Valley with her partner, their dog Valen, and their cat, Maggie. In her free time, she loves to go snowboarding and hiking in the mountains of B.C. Valen is the Shepherd mix in the photo and the face of Dunn Dogs!
